Jason Myra and Kristina María Paolo Lanna and Vanessa Telona Karina Romero and Dardo Galletto Solomon Singer and Nell Mooney
Jason Myra, founder, artistic director and choreographer for Tumbao Latin Dance Company, has been teaching and performing NY style Nightclub Salsa/Mambo for more than 7 years. He has performed with Tumbao, Jorday Rivera’s Mambo's Finest Latin Dance Company, Angel Clemente-Garcia’s Tango Y Mas Dance Company, at the legendary Apollo Theatre.
Kristina María is inspired by “música” and the beautiful role it has played within her “familia”. She began performing “danza folklórica e endígena” of México, the United States, and Puerto Rico as a youth. Her training includes the Martha Graham Academy, the American Dance Festival and Compañia Ruiz-Lopez. Notable performances include for the president of the Dominican Republic, the NYC Apollo Theatre, World Congreso Bacardí de Mambo/Salsa. Paolo Lanna and Vanessa Telona have drawn inspiration from various stars of the original ballrooms of Harlem Paolo performs and teach the swing dances they made famous. Paolo has toured with Wynton Marsalis and holds titles from the NY Lindy Hop Open and American Swing Dance Championships. His partner VANESSA has been dancing since the age of six and specializes in the Balboa and Lindy Hop as the newest member of Paolo’s own troupe, the Lindy Hop All-Stars. Karina Romero was born in Cordoba, Argentina. In 1995, she moved to Buenos Aires, where she studied tango, with masters such as Mingo Pugliese, Mariela Franganillo, Pablo Veron, Graciela Ganzalez, and J.C. Çopes. In 1999, she started touring and teaching tango in Argentina. In 2001 she performed in Moving Forward, Tango Mundo, and three seasons in Thalia Spanish Theatre.
Dardo Galletto never expected to be directing a modern dance company so early in his career. He is from Cordoba, Argentina and graduated from the prestigious school of dance, “Teatro General San Martin” in Buenos Aries and also studied at the “Teatro Colon”. He coached with leading ballet masters of Argentina including Haichi Acamine, Enrique Lommi, and Olga Ferri. He presently teaches at the Sandra Cameron Dance Center in New York City.
Nell Mooney is a jack-of all trades, teaching all of the American Styles in both Rhythm and Ballroom, as well as Salsa on 2 and Lindy Hop and Country Western. Her website is: www.easydancelesson.com
Solomon Singer has performed and competed worldwide, appeared on stage at the New York State Theater and Carnegie Hall. He holds national and international titles in Country Western partner dancing and International Latin dancing, as well as local titles in Swing and Hustle.
